Jeep is an iconic American automobile brand known for its rugged, off-road vehicles. Its roots trace back to World War II, when the U.S. military needed a lightweight, all-terrain vehicle. In 1941, Willys-Overland began producing the Willys MB, which became the original Jeep and a vital tool for Allied forces.

After the war, Jeep transitioned to civilian life with the CJ (Civilian Jeep) series, starting in 1945. Over the decades, Jeep expanded its lineup with models like the Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee, and Compass, becoming a symbol of adventure, freedom, and 4x4 capability.

Jeep has changed ownership multiple times—eventually becoming part of Stellantis in 2021 (a merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group). Despite the changes, Jeep remains one of the world’s most recognizable SUV brands.
